Fat Tuesday

Since I observe Ash Wednesday, I also go ahead and observe Fat Tuesday. Also know as Mardi Gras.

Heidi fixed a fine meal of red beans and rice with some fresh baked green beans. The green beans were fantastic.

With the Lutheran Central auction coming up Saturday, her brother Doug came over to add the legs on the pub table I am donating to the Lutheran Central auction.

We are really proud of the bourbon/ cigar table.

I tried a Busch Light bottle cap top that failed miserably and fortunately I had this one in reserve. My brother David provided a bulk of the cigar rings and my friend Jon Tilmon gave me several bourbon bottles that I boiled the labels off of.

This is an early view of the bourbon/cigar table before everything was in place.
I designed and made the 🔝. Bruce Stahl and his some Skyler get a big assist with the epoxy resin pour and Doug Hackman made and attached the legs.

If the table doesn’t bring enough in the auction, I may have to buy it back and bring it home.

With the Fat Tuesday theme, Heidi also said that maybe we get King Cake for dessert tomorrow. As well as an Ash Wednesday church service.

If you are interested in the table you can add the Bid Beacon app and go to the Lutheran Central 2022 silent auction. (LC2022)
