Be sure to sit on the top level!

What a cool spot! We sat on the 🔝 level that was open air and wonderful views over the levee in both directions of the Ohio River.

Let me tell you, that Heidi Wintin is on to something! When I offered something from the freezer for 🥘 dinner, she said she had an idea. So, I picked sweet 🌽 corn from the garden while she already had some banana peppers that she had picked earlier.

Heidi mixed a can of shredded chicken, a block of cream cheese, Frank’s Red Hot 🥵 sauce, and 🧄 garlic salt and spread that into a sliced banana pepper. Then she topped that with bacon and baked it for 20 minutes at 400 degrees and it was awesome!!! 😎

I prefer my 🌽 corn Off the Cob! The flavor from this meal was outstanding and I really enjoy knowing that we grew the corn and the peppers! Also, it took about 10 minutes to prep and 10 minutes to pick and shuck the corn. We tag teamed on that. And now, I am playing on my phone and she is cleaning up. Someone has to live this life and it might as well be me.

While in Nashville for the George Strait, Chris Stapleton and Little Big Town 🎵 concert, Heidi and I visited the Old Lebanon Road location of Edley’s BBQ. It was not far from our AirBNB.

The ribs were excellent. Came right off the bone with each bite. The banana pudding had vanilla wafers and banana slices and good flavor. The jalapeño cornbread with butter was outstanding! The grits were a bit cheesy and also had a kick to them.

Trolley Car Creamery: Brownstown

In conjunction with Blondie’s 🍕 Pizza and right next door, Trolley Car Creamery has some great ice cream! My “Go To” is the Ultimate Peanutbutter Brownie in a chocolate dipped waffle cone with sprinkles! If you are lucky, Chelsey will scoop your ice cream or make your milkshake as I 👀 look forward to seeing her when I go there.

There are some cute places to sit on the sidewalk to enjoy your ice cream! As well, you can always get an awesome pizza at Blondie’s!
Christopher Schuck, Jon Tilmon and Bruce Stahl made their way to French Lick for some outstanding golf ⛳️ on a premier course. We had a twilight tee time for $85 per player. Totally worth it! We played our own ball the first 9 and Bruce was the low medalist 🏅 with a 49. We played a two-man scramble in the back 9 with Bruce and myself partnered versus Jon and Christopher. In match play, the boys from Jackson County(Walt and Bruce) won up 7. 💥 Boom!

After binge watching The Night Agent until 1:30 a.m., Heidi and I ventured out today and used my state park pass that I got for Christmas 🎄. We hiked trails 4 and 5 at Patoka Lake State Park before a 🍷 wine tasting at the Patoka Lake Winery.

Benny’s Restaurant is next door and you can take your wine with you there if you want. Heidi and I shared a pretzel and beer cheese appetizer and split a bacon, pepper Jack cheeseburger on Texas Toast along with thin onion rings that were superb!

We also added a new state park app to our phones and when you get to the visitors center or nature center you enter a PIN number and it shows that you visited that park. Heidi and I are suckers for any type of passport and look forward to visiting and checking in at sever state parks with the app.

Legendz is located in downtown French Lick. A sports bar atmosphere with St. Louis Cardinals, Cincinnati Reds, Indiana Hoosier and Larry Bird paraphernalia. My favorite is the front entrance:

Great atmosphere for a sports bar and our food was very good!
In 🌺 Hawaiian. O’Hana means “family.” Heidi spied the O’Hana Grill and Bar as we drove by and thought we should give it a shot.

I have some golfing buddies coming later and will for sure put this on the list. At least for a taste of Yuengling Hershey’s!!! Go, Pennsylvania!!! BTW, we also had some fresh made California Roll 🍣 sushi and we both used the chopsticks. We are so talented!
